Stylized Steam Train

This 3D render explores a departure from my usual photorealistic work, diving into a more stylized approach. Modeled in Blender, I initially experimented with techniques like hand-painted normals and cel-shading before refining the pipeline to achieve a balanced, vibrant aesthetic.

Asset textures are built up through a mixture of hand-painted and procedural layers, blended together in the shader.

Foliage is generated as dense clump of cards which are shaded a neutral grey initially. The resulting RGB is then pushed through a colour ramp to colour the asset.
